Over the period from 2008 till 2011 Logisticon Water Treatment has constructed for Evides Industry water complete demin water installation) which has to produce up to 1400 m3/h of ultra pure water. This installation will be one of the biggest units in The Netherlands. Phase 1 (Softening, RO and Mixed Bed) was constructed within 14 months. Phase 2 (DAFF) is finalized in 2011.
Clients are 3 oil refineries and 12 chemical companies like AkzoNobel, BP, Exxon and KPE
Evides Industry water (EIW) has invested in a complete production facility in the Rotterdam Harbor (Botlek region) for the production and distribution of demineralised water. The newly build Demin Water Plant (DWP) will substitute the AVR plant. The design capacity has a maximum scenario of 1.400 m³/h demin water supply. The raw water source will be surface water from the lake of Brielle (Brielsemeer) with potable water as a back-up.
To be sure the plant will be up and running on December 31st 2009 the planning was shortened with phase 1. In this case ‘only’ the purification installation was build using potable water as raw water source. The plant consists of softening (Ion exchange), reverse osmosis and polishing with mixed bed ion exchangers divided in 8 rows of 200 m3/h each nett. The design consists of several novelties.
The technical design is based on 24/7 the year round with enough redundancy and security. The design quality before storage and distribution is 0,2 µS/cm with 30 ppb SiO2.
The renovation at Logisticon is in full swing. The year started with the installation of a new portal crane on the new outdoor area at Ambachtsweg 34. After installing the outdoor lighting and finishing the street work, the outside area is completed.
