Waste water treatment for Renewi Smink

Due to aging of the existing waste water treatment plant Logisticon Water Treatment was asked to supply a new wastewater treatment plant for Smink Waste Treatment, part of the new Renewi company. Smink has been involved in the collection, processing and recycling of waste products since 1955 and manages a landfill in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. At this landfill leachate water needs to be treated before final discharge.

The new leachate waste water treatment plant is designed for a hydraulic capacity of 720 m3/day. It contains the same technology principle as the 20-year-old installation, but now with new generation ZeeWeed ZW500D LeapMBR Zenon membranes for an energetically optimal design.

The new installation consists of an equalization tank (200 m3), biology tank (300 m3), permeate tank (200 m3) and a stainless steel membrane tank for the MBR modules. The technical installation is completely pre-built in 4 insulated containers that have been further assembled on site. By using temporary mobile water treatment equipment from Logisticon mobile water rental solutions, the old purification has been able to function normally until the start of the new MBR installation.

Oasen cooperates with Logisticon on treatment systems for two new plants

Oasen is constructing two new treatment plants in Kamerik and Nieuw-Lekkerland, where, within a few years, Oasen will use membranes to treat groundwater to create clear and reliable drinking water. Logisticon Water Treatment is to build and supply the membrane systems for these plants. Frank Cammaert, Director of Logisticon and Oasen’s Director, Walter van der Meer, recently signed a contract for this.
