12,5 years ago, Evides Industriewater realized the biggest Dutch demineralized water installation in Port of Rotterdam. The Demi Water Plant (DWP) is designed and built in a record time of 14 months and is located in the Rotterdam Botlek area, at the Huntsman Rozenburg site. Due to the one-of-a-kind cooperation of the construction team between the contracting parties, in which Logisticon Water Treatment and its sister company Elmon elektrotechniek took care of the mechanical and electrical part of the demi plant, the first phase of the installation was started before the deadline of December 31, 2009, at the beginning of December 2009. With this plant, Evides has been guaranteeing the stable, reliable supply of high-quality water for 12,5 years.
The goal of the DWP project was very ambitious. In a span of 14 months, the design needed to be completed, detailed and then built and started. The technical design is based on a fully automated operation, where sufficient redundancy ensures reliable production and security of supply 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
To celebrate the 12,5 year anniversary, delicious cakes were delivered today at various Evides locations and at Logisticon. The Logisticon team is still very proud of this project and the result and is happy to celebrate this anniversary together with Evides.
