Orvion B.V., a sister company of Logisticon, has developed Orvion Udetect®, which enables you to analyse bacteria in water quickly and accurately, independently and in-field, without the need for a laboratory. The technology works with qPCR and measures DNA or RNA. This makes it possible to accurately determine the number of bacteria such as E.coli, Legionella pneumophila, Salmonella or Leptospira in water samples. Furthermore, Udetect is small and mobile, so all supplies fit into a backpack. You can use Udetect in-field, on-site or in a laboratory.

Udetect applications include the measurement of blue-green algae microcystin in swimming pool water, determination of faecal bacteria such as E. Coli or Bacteroides dorei in surface water, well or groundwater, determination of pathogens such as Legionella and Salmonella in all kinds of water samples.
