Environmental solutions

Logisticon offers environmentally and economically sound water-treatment plants, both for temporary and permanent use. These installations are built ready for operation, modern and proven environmental technologies are used in every possible component. Ranging from groundwater to industrial streams, you can rely on us for all of these challenges.

Groundwater iron removal

When excavating for construction, groundwater can be released which needs to be discharged into a drain, surface water or injected back into the ground in another place. This water often contains iron, which when in contact with the ambient air will release a brown precipitate. This pumped water needs to be treated, taking into account the increasingly stringent requirements on discharge quality. Logisticon sells and rents mobile installations for iron removal

Groundwater Remediation

Groundwater can also contain impurities in addition to iron, which are often caused by the legacy of old industries. Typical contaminants by (former) gas stations are mineral oil and BTEXN (Benzene, Toluene, Ethylene, Xylene and Naphthalene). Laundries often cause the soil to be contaminated with chlorinated hydrocarbons, such as Per and Tri (Per- and Trichlorethylene). Former gasworks usually have a cocktail of contaminants in soil and groundwater, such as high concentrations of tar, cyanide, naphthalene and heavy metals. Based on an analysis of the groundwater we determine the precise required combination of environmental purification to ensure safe and cost-effective remediation.

Above or underground purification

For temporary or in long-term remediation projects we can offer two options, either surface or underground remediation. With the so-called "pump and treat" option we pump contaminated water and purify it above ground until it is clean. For 'in situ' remediation we treat pollution directly into the ground. Logisticon developed an innovative approach to break down the chlorinated compounds Per and Tri by using bacteria  present in the subsurface.

Clean industrial water

Due to stricter environmental requirements, it is important that industries respond appropriately when exceeding the standards for process and wastewater. Not only does clean water help create more efficient business processes but also to lower discharge costs. Our installations tackle all undesirable substances, such as heavy metals, hydrocarbons and suspended solids. For recycling waste from industrial water you have come to the right place.

Dealing with emergencies

Temporary water purification plants are regularly used in emergencies where groundwater or surface water is at risk of being polluted. For example, when there is a failure or malfunctioning wastewater treatment. Logisticon offers mobile purification systems that can also be used for cleaning of contaminated fire dowsing water. An example of this is the biggest fire at Chemiepack in Moerdijk, The Netherlands.
