Multiple-plate aerators

The removal efficiency of plate aerators is almost as high as stripping towers (aeration/degasification) and they have a considerable advantage over the latter in that they are compact and can be disassembled and cleaned easily. This is very important if the water contains contaminants such as iron and calcium which, as a result of oxidation, form deposits in the installation (which build up and block the plates).

Standard multiple-plate aerators are made from stainless steel, have a modular structure and are available with capacities of up to and including 30 m3 per hour. The aeration capacity of the blower is geared to the volumes to be treated. As is the case with a stripping tower, the multiple-plate aerator can be equipped with a biological or activated carbon air filter. An automatic chemical cleaning mechanism is optional.
