Energy storage system at Logisticon ensures less environmental impact

In a previous LogistiContour you could read about the energy storage container from Refurb Battery that was installed at Logisticon recently. This container was recently put into use. A great step forward in Logisticon’s ambition to be as sustainable as possible. By using recycled (bicycle) batteries and materials in this container, Logisticon helps to accelerate the circular economy, reducing its environmental impact.

The energy storage system is charged locally and sustainably using Logisticon’s 1000 solar panels. The system is linked to the local power supply and charges itself when there is surplus electricity from local generation. This electricity is then used to maximize the use of self-generated electricity. This minimizes the need for mains power. By minimizing the use of mains power, peak demand will be limited and the use of sustainable energy will be optimized. Refurb Battery’s energy storage system gives Refurb Battery and Logisticon the opportunity to jointly learn and investigate the optimal setup, which optimizes the storage system settings.

Logisticon attaches great value to sustainable entrepreneurship. Customers are helped with future-proof water treatment solutions and much effort is put in making the own organization more sustainable. With this energy storage container from Refurb Battery, Logisticon has taken another sustainable step forward.
