Flexibility at the top in France

For a large industrial customer in France, a combined demineralized water/process water plant of 3 x 25 m³/h will be installed in 2021. Water from the adjacent river will be used as feed water. Through a combination of ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis, demineralized water and process water are produced. The pH of the process water is regulated and also an anti-corrosion agent is dosed in this water to protect the existing piping against corrosion.

Since the final installation has a delivery time of several months, a temporary solution was sought for the customer, but with the same quality requirements for the water to be supplied. A mobile solution was chosen, which required flexibility on all sides. Literally, because in the temporary situation hoses are used instead of fixed piping. Flexibility in terms of planning, because the winter weather delayed the start. Also the Covid-19 regulations in both France and the Netherlands asked for the necessary flexibility. Together with the customer, we came up with a solution. After everything was installed, the system was put into operation in a few days.

After a number of months, the temporary installation will be replaced by the permanent installation, now with fixed piping, but even then the necessary flexibility will undoubtedly be required, as the customer's production will continue to run.
