The municipality of Paradiso, Switzerland, is embarking on a major project to renew its drinking water station, which is in need of replacement after years of faithful service. Located among the mountains and on the beautiful Lake of Lugano, the town faces a logistical challenge: there is simply no room to build a new station next to the existing one and then demolish the old one.
The solution comes in the form of an innovative ultrafiltration unit (UF), supplied by Logisticon in collaboration with its Swiss partner HFS Aqua AG. This compact and easily transportable container unit was delivered via pontoon and installed by crane at the limited site. The ultrafiltration unit purifies water from the lake and delivers it directly to the nearby municipality of Paradiso, providing a temporary but reliable solution while the old station is demolished and a new, more modern drinking water station is built.
The containerized UF unit offers numerous advantages: it is fully remotely controllable, quick to deliver and can provide years of service. This solution allows water delivery to continue uninterrupted even during the large-scale renovation. While the new drinking water station is being built and tested, Logisticon continues to provide remote installation and monitoring support, with on-site maintenance performed by its HFS Aqua AG.
Logisticon is very happy with the collaboration with HFS Aqua AG and thanks them for the pleasant cooperation.
