In late 2023, Logisticon, in close cooperation with Ramson AB, delivered two ultrafiltration plants to bail out a Swedish drinking water supply in the city of Visby with a bacterial outbreak in the drinking water source.
Meanwhile, the commissioning of the UF2880 and UF1440 is in full swing. The process went smoothly. The plants, supplied by Logisticon and implemented by her Swedish partner Ramson AB, were successfully connected to Visby municipality's drinking water supply in just four months (after agreement).
The plants underwent tests to ensure they were functioning optimally. The water was then checked to confirm that the clostridium bacteria had been completely removed. Initial tests showed that the ultrafiltration systems performed excellently and that the water now met strict quality standards.
The benefits of these ultrafiltration systems are evident in Visby. By passing water under pressure through DuPont™ IntegraTec™ membranes, harmful clostridium bacteria and other contaminants are effectively removed. This results in a significant improvement in water quality, with direct positive consequences for Visby's residents.
Thanks to the deployment of these pilot installations, Visby residents can once again count on safe drinking water. Moreover, the pilot project provides an opportunity to evaluate the right solution before the municipality proceeds with long-term rental or purchase of the systems. This makes the project both time- and cost-efficient.
