A temporary installation, often a suitable solution

Two factories were using the same wastewater treatment plant, managed by one of these factories. However, the factory managing the plant changed owners and therefore the possibility for the other factory to treat and discharge its wastewater also ended. This created the need for a new water treatment plant. Since this was urgent, a temporary rental solution was initially sought. The installation had to be operational within 6 months.

Logisticon designed an installation consisting of a large mixed buffer of 150 m3, a coagulation and flocculation tank, a DAF unit, sludge treatment and three chemical storage tanks. The treatment installation is automated with a PLC control, which also communicates with the customers automation.

In the first five tanks the water is being buffered. From these tanks the water flows to the tanks where the coagulant and flocculant are added. This binds the pollution from the water and forms it into flocs that are separated from the clean water in the Flotation (DAF) unit. After the DAF, the clean water is treated in glass filters. The sludge goes to a sludge buffer, from where it is treated by a sludge centrifuge.

Thanks to the temporarily installed water treatment plant from Logisticon’s rental department, the customer can focus fully on its production, knowing that the wastewater is treated and discharged correctly.
