Since 2002, HydroBusiness has been supplying cooling and process water to DAF Trucks in Eindhoven for the manufacturing of trucks. The purification, consisting of a fish weir , micro sieve and an ultrafiltration installation, is fed with surface water from the Eindhovens canal. A drinking water connection is available as a back-up. The old ultrafiltration membranes had been in use for more than 12 years and had to be replaced.

Logisticon Water Treatment was asked by HydroBusiness to refurbish the entire UF installation to be ready for the next 10 years of supplying cooling and process water to DAF Trucks.

This revision consisted of:

• The installation of new Pentair Xiga 46 membranes so the surface is increased to 1800 m² and also the capacity expanded to 180 m³/h.
• Replacing the flushing pump and the complete control system.
• Renewal of two chemical storage and dosage unit to meet the new BRL-K903 / 8 guidelines.

It was quite a challenge to continue the production during this conversion, but in the end we succeeded.
