Problem
A French recycling company focused on processing and re-use of chlorinated hydrocarbons was confronted with high concentrations of TSS in the wastewater during start-up and scale-up of the new waste processing plant. To continue production, the discharge requirements had to be met.
Solution
Full-scale WWTP consisting of:
Pre-settling with two parallel Dortmund tanks
Lamella separation
Sand filtration
Chemical storage and dosing
The sludge produced was further processed in an existing filter press and the effluent water is since then able to be discharged.
