From pilot to full-scale: Additional effluent polishing through stricter discharge requirements

Problem

Discharge requirements became stricter for a chemical manufacturing company which produces raw materials used in the chemical industry. Because of these stricter requirements, the customer had to adjust their wastewater treatment plant. Initially active carbon filtration was installed, but this was found to be very expensive as the lifetime of the active carbon was limited.

Solution

Logisticon started with a pilot using sand filtration and gradually added additional techniques to achieve discharge limits with lowest carbon consumption. After a while, the customer asked for a long-term rental solution. For this, custom built containers were constructed.
