De-ironing of groundwater
De-ironing of groundwater
Problem

During the construction of a new production facility for a large food producer located in the North of the Netherlands, that produces coffee related products, the concentration of Fe2+ in the groundwater was too high. These high concentrations, and a high flow rate, required a large installation.

Solutions

As a solution to this problem, the groundwater had to be stripped of iron. For this, Logisticon supplied an installation that could lower the iron content in the groundwater from 25 mg/l to < 5 mg/l Fe2+. The requested capacity in this project was 300 m3/hour.
