Iron, manganese and sulfate removal during ground water remediation at pharmaceutical site
Iron, manganese and sulfate removal during ground water remediation at pharmaceutical site
Problem

In order to expand the production location of a Belgian pharmaceutical company, a remediation had to be carried out. The water released during this process had too high a content of sulphate, iron and manganese and could therefore not be discharged.

Solutions

A temporary, flexible mobile water treatment plant was delivered to remove (1) iron, particles and manganese and (2) sulfate.

Done with:

(1) Sand & active carbon filtration
(2) Reversed osmosis
