Logisticon’s pilot demonstrates advanced membrane solution for methane in water
Problem

Two Dutch companies active in drinking water production were facing challenges due to the presence of methane in their groundwater sources. This dissolved methane caused several issues in the production process and needed to be removed to ensure safe and high-quality drinking water. In addition to removal, both companies were also interested in exploring the potential to recover the methane for reuse or energy generation.

To address this, Logisticon Water Treatment carried out pilot tests using membrane degassing units. These tests aimed to demonstrate the effectiveness of membrane technology in removing dissolved methane from water while also enabling the recovery of the captured gas.

Solution

Logisticon Water Treatment carried out pilot tests using membrane degassing units to remove and recover methane from the water.
These tests were designed to demonstrate the efficiency of membrane technology in safely extracting dissolved methane, allowing both for improved water quality and the potential reuse or energy recovery of the captured methane.
