Problem
A Portuguese water company that operates and maintains urban water systems and treatment facilities faced an increase of the turbidity of the river during the dry season. As the river water was used as raw water to produce drinking water a quick pre-treatment was needed to protect the existing water treatment plant.
Solution
A mobile ultrafiltration unit was supplied to treat the river water and to remove excessive turbidity.
