A transfer terminal for chemicals, located in the largest European harbor, faced challenges with the quality of its collected surface water. The levels of total suspended solids (TSS) in this terrain water regularly exceeded the permitted discharge limits. As a result, a water treatment solution was required to ensure compliance. The system also needed to be flexible in terms of flow capacity, as it had to be able to handle peak volumes during periods of heavy rainfall.
