High-quality seawater pretreatment for aquaculture operations

Problem

A Scandinavian customer in the aquaculture industry required a reliable pretreatment solution for seawater. The treated seawater needed to be of exceptionally high quality to ensure the health and safety of the aquaculture stock. This meant the water had to be free of particles, bacteria, and viruses. Additionally, the system had to guarantee a continuous and secure supply of treated water to support uninterrupted operations.

Solution

Logisticon Water Treatment supplied a fully redundant ultrafiltration (UF) package unit designed to deliver a continuous flow of 200 m³/h. To ensure an additional level of safety and reliability, the ultrafiltration system is followed by a UV disinfection unit, serving as a second barrier against microbiological contamination. This setup guarantees a stable and high-quality water supply under all operating conditions.
